Event-I
Orientation to First
year students
On 26th June 2014
Department organize an Orientation program for I year B.Sc Electronics (AEC)
and B.Sc Electronics Technology (AELT) students.
In
this department introduces our department staff members and brief explanation
about usage of various components and equipment in the lab
Event-II
Educational visit to “Doordarshan Kendra”
On 22nd July 2014, the
department arranged an educational visit to “Doordarshan Studio” M.G road, Vijayawada
and “Broadcasting station” at Kondapalli.
All the III year electronics (DEC)
students were took an active part in this visit. With this they aware about Recording room acoustics, Process of recording audio and
video systems, Video cameras convert the picture into RGB colours found by the
object it and finally convert the same into EM waves at Studio. TV tower, about
200 meters height, contains transmitter and antenna units also Audio
frequencies and Video frequencies are fed simultaneously under different
frequencies of band width and transmit the same through antenna tower at
Transmitting station.
Event-III
Guest lecture on “Satellite Communication”
On 26th July 2014, the
department arranged a guest lecture on Satellite Communication lectured by Sri
K. Phani Srinivas, Associative Proffesor, K.L University Vijayawada.
All the section of electronics (AELT, NELT,
NEC, DEC) students are participated in this guest lecture. With this they know objectives
of How Satellite works, the main components of a satellite, the modulations and multiple access techniques
in use in modern mobile wireless, broadband access and wireline communications modern
and advanced systems and
applications.
Event- IV
Orientation on Project Report
On 11th August 2014, department
arranged a seminar on ProjectMethodology
The resource person of the seminar was Dr. Ch. Srinivasu, Reader, Dept of
Physics, ALC
In this 3rd year Electronics (DEC)
students were participated and they got an idea on various steps are involved in working on
science projects & method of reporting after completion of project.
Event – V
Training Program on PCB designing
On 25 AUG 2014, department arranged a
training program on PCB designing. The resource person of this program was Md.
Tazuddin , Director, CMOS Research Labs, Vijayawada.
In this training
program 80 students from AELT, NELT and NEC sections are actively participated.
They designed layout and made a PCB.
Event – VI
Science Exhibition
Department actively
took part in Arts & Science Exhibition 2014 conducted by Andhra Loyola
College on 1st and 2nd
SEP 2014, in which department exhibited 24 working models prepared by
electronics students belongs to all sections. Nearly 1500 visitors are visited
our exhibits.

Seminar on “TRENDS IN SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNOLOGY”
On 14th NOV 2014, the
department arranged a seminar on Trends in Semiconductor Technology the
resource person was Sri P.Kalee Prasad, Sr. Engineer, Doordarshan Kendra, Vijayawada.
The sections of electronics (NELT, DEC)
students are participated in this seminar. With this they know objectives of fabrication
process of a chip and the trends going on semiconductor technology. In this
program he displayed own invention of transistor to the students.
Event VII
A Training Program on “HOME APPLIANCES MECHANISM”
From 5th
to 15th NOV
2014, department arranged a training program on Home Appliances Mechanism.
The resource person of this program was Mr. Krishna Rao, Trainer, Jana Sikshna
Samstha, Regd by Govt. of A.P., Vijayawada.
In
these training program 23 students from AELT, section is actively participated.
The students got real time experiences on practicing, diagnosis and
troubleshooting of Tube light, Fan – Ceiling &Table fan, Electric Mixer,
Iron box and Electric heater (Immersion coil),

“Talk on Carrier Guidance”
The department
of electronics arranged a carrier guidance program for III B.SC Electronics
(DEC) students on 03-12-2014 by TIME INSTITUTE, Vijayawada.
Event IX
TECHNOESIS 2014-15
The department of Electronics of Andhra
Loyola College organized a “NATIONAL LEVEL QUIZ, PAPER PRESENTATION &
PROJECT EXPO” (TECHNOESIS
2014-15) competitions for degree students on 5th
December 2014 in which 110 students from
various degree colleges are took part. In quiz Sri Y.N. college, Narsapur are
emerged as winners, R.K. Degree college, Nandyala & JKC college, Guntur
settled with first and second runner up respectively. In the paper presentation
first place was clinched by Nalanda Degree College, Vijayawada and V.S.R. Govt.
College, Movva & R.K. Degree College, Nandyala settled with first and
second runner up respectively. This presentation was conducted based on three
topics namely ARM
PROCESSOR TECHNOLOGY, ADVANCED WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS, and LED LUMINAIRES. In
Project Expo JKC College, Guntur is emerged as winners, Loyola college,
Secunderabad & Sri Y.N. College, Narsapur settled with first and second
runner up respectively. For these competitions Dr.K.S .Ramesh Prof.KLU and DR.Ch
.Srinivasu ,Reader in Physics,ALC
acted as a Judges.
On this
occasion Chief guest Mr. D.RamaKrishna, M.D. Efftronics Pvt.Ltd, Guest of
Honour Prof K.S. Ramesh, K.L University,
Correspondent of Andhra Loyola College Rev.Fr.S Raju S.J, Vice Principals
Rev.Fr.P.Anil Kumar S.J, and Rev. Fr. Dr. Rex Angelo, Staff and students of
Electronics were present.
Event-X
Training Program on “ELECTRONIC PRODUCT DESIGN”
Department of Electronics
arranged a five day training program from 08th
to 12th DEC 2014 on “ELECTRONIC PRODUCT DESIGN” in
collaboration with CDAC (Center for
Development of Advanced Computing), HYDERABAD. This program was inaugurated
by the chief guest Dr.A.Subbunagulu, Scientist, NRSC, Hyderabad, in the
presence of Rev. Fr. S. Raju, Correspondent, ALC.
A team of experts
Mr.K.SivaKumar, Mr.K.Sourabh, Mr. P.Ramesh, headed by Mr.Ch.Sri Harsha engineers
in CDAC, Hyderabad trained our students.
The
program had two sessions (theoretical and practical) everyday with duration of two
and half hours each.
On
First day after inauguration, the
first deliberation on Basic concepts of PCB by Mr. P.Ramesh, Project Engineer,
CDAC followed by project presentation delivered by Mr.K.SivaKumar. In Practical session Eagle PCB design software
installation procedure by Mr.K.Saurabh.
The
session for second day started with a
lecture on Schematic Entry by K.Sivakumar. In the other session students practiced
on Schematic Entry using Eagle software.
The
session for third day started with a
lecture on Schematic Entry and Routing using Eagle software by K.Sivakumar. The
other session students practiced Schematic Entry and Routing using Eagle
software and prepared PCB layout.
The
session for forth day had PCB
manufacturing process by CDAC team and the second session students prepared
their own PCBs.
In
first session of the Fifth day,
students assembled the components on PCB, programmed the chip PIC16F877 and finally
the manufactured product was tested. The training program concluded with the
deliberation on industrial design basics and Ergonomics rules by Ch.Sri Harsha.
Total
57 students of II B.Sc Electronics (NEC & NELT) took active part and greatly
benefited by this training program.

Seminar on “EMBEDDED SYSTEM DESIGN FOR VARIOUS APPLICATIONS”
On 15th
JAN 2015, the department arranged a seminar on “EMBEDDED SYSTEM DESIGN FOR VARIOUS APPLICATIONS”, the resource
person was Dr. Kota Solomon Raju, Principal Scientist & Project Leader, Central
Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani 333 031 (Rajasthan),
India
Event –XII
Educational
Trip to SHAR, Nellore
The Department of Electronics organized an industrial visit
to Satish Dhavan Space Centre (SHAR) at Sriharikota in Nellore District on--- Feburaury
2015 in which 55 students belongs to Electronics (NEC and DECC) & 25
students from Physics Dept. which is lead by Mr. L. Ekambaram and G.
Sahayabaskarm. Many of our students inspired to become like those great
scientists. On this students got awareness about how the Rocket will be
launched into Space, Control centre, Launch pads-I & II, Rocket manufacturing
phases.

prize in paper presentation competition “EXHBIT 2014” held at Department of
Electronics, Nalanda Degree College on 25th November 2014.

won 1st prize in paper presentation competition “E-WAVE 2014” held
at Department of Electronics, Maris Stella College, Vijayawada on 28th
November 2014.

Mr. K. Chaitanya (NELT-14), of II year won
2nd prize in Poster Presentation competition “E-WAVE 2014” held at
Department of Electronics, Maris Stella College, Vijayawada on28th
November 2014.

& 29) of III year won 1st prize in Science Exhibition
competition for “Bus Positioning System” model display, held at “GORA SCIENCE
CENTRE”, Vijayawada from 3rd to 5th December 2014.

year won 1st prize in Science Exhibition competition for
“Intelligent Traffic Lights Control” model display, held at “GORA SCIENCE
